MOURINHO CAUSED MANCHESTER UNITED'S POOR PERFORMANCE AGAINST LOWLY WESTHAM UNITED TEAM

Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard put on a poor showing

Manchester United not only disappointed their supporters once more but they also continued breaking and setting records.
This time around this was their fourth consecutive draw at Old Trafford since 1980 making it a record milestone achieved. Don't get me wrong but since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson, David Moyes broke so many records especially losing 5 times at Old Trafford. Then came Louis van Gaal shattering and setting his own abysmal records. We all thought that all of these shambolic managerial blunders were over because we had the special one as our manager but we have quickly found out that the special one as he was once called is no longer the special one but the hated one.

Mourinho said that he was going to bring Manchester United out of their three year gloom but fast track 4 months into the premier league and it seems Manchester United are destined for yet another stupid and excruciating run. They might as well be the laughing stock after purchasing the world's costliest player, a free player in the evergreen Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the record breaker Manchester United veteran Wayne Rooney with many people calling them "RIP" but reverse is the case. Right now I'd like to take you through the poor performance that went down yesterday.

Manchester United dismantled Feyenoord Rotterdam with the help of Wayne Rooney, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Juan Mata before Lingard got lucky and scored.
We all thought they were going to dismantle Westham United by five goals to nothing but immediately the starting line up came in we knew or I knew that there was actually no hope just a repeat of former perfomances. I was watching the poor Bournemouth performance against Arsenal when the starting line up came in. Arsenal were sloppy yesterday but they outclassed a sloppier Bournemouth but at Old Trafford Manchester United couldn't put away a worse team that even Bournemouth were better than.

I didn't see Luke Shaw at left back, Herrera replaced Micheal Carrick and I said to myself, "Oh the back and forth football again", although he was better than Marouane Fellaini but I was expecting Bastian Schweinsteiger to play. The worst of it all was when I saw Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard in opposite wings. We all know that Manchester United youngsters have been a big disappointment of late. Rashford was actually the player that made Manchester United concede against Arsenal in the final minutes and he also play total rubbish against Feranbahce in the 2-1 loss in Turkey. Rooney and Mkhitaryan were supposed to start so that they could link up with Mata and Ibrahimovic but the manager probably was too confident that he decided to rotate a winning team.

Matteo Darmian was owned by Michail Antonio both defensively and offensively and that begs the question, why didn't Luke Shaw start? We all know that Shaw both defensively and offensively is a beast but the ever clever Mourinho just chose to ignore him.
Understandably Schweinsteiger had been out of the team for a very long time so he had to be on the bench. Paul Pogba played every single thing for Manchester United and that means that a Pogba-Herrera partnership is not best for business. Ibrahimovic didn't ask for this kind of performance from Jesse Lingard. Before the match started, the "Boy" Lingard conceded a free kick which he knew Marcos Rojo was ready to clear the ball from the feet of Dimitri Payet but know he didn't think and went ahead a committed the foul. Guess who took the free kick? None other than the man Dimitri Payet and so the woeful Diafra Sakho got his goal. Then Lingard was all over the place trying to rectify his mistake but only ended up playing very badly. As for Marcus Rashford, you can't just fault the manager for his one on one missed chance but you can fault Mourinho for playing Rashford as a winger. We all know that Marcus Rashford is not at all a winger.

Jesse Lingard was totally at fault for the poor Man Utd performance
Jesse Lingard was the odd one in the Manchester United team and he should have been removed long time again. I thought Mourinho was going to remove Lingard and put Mkhitaryan to link up with Mata and the intelligent Wayne Rooney who replace Marcus Rashford. But he removed Mata and when it was time to remove Lingard he removed him and put Marouane Fellaini for what. What has Fellaini got to do with the match. I thought that absurd decisions were over under Van Gaal but obviously it isn't. Memphis Depay has lost his position to inconsistent players like Lingard and Rashford because they are English players right. Adnan Januzaj is now on loan because of these same players. Louis van Gaal started destroying this Manchester United team and I can't say that Mourinho is on the right path. Mourinho has to get his act together or he'll be on the wrong side of the Manchester United faithful.

To wrap it up, I'm a Manchester United fan all my life but I didn't bargain for 4 miserable years as a fan but I'll keep on supporting Manchester United no matter what but I guess Manchester United is the new Arsenal of English football now. We will wait till the next EFL Cup match against the same Westham United and see what happens. Let us see if they can make it up to their fans. We will also wait till the end of the season too.
