MANCHESTER UNITED DISMANTLE FEYENOORD ROTTERDAM

Wonderful Manchester United display
Manchester United tonight simply outclassed Feyenoord Rotterdam by registering a 4-0 win over Feyenoord Rotterdam. This result came off the back of a 1-1 draw with Arsenal at Old Trafford in the weekend. This was a must win match for Manchester United after series of inconsistent performances.
Manchester United had to win this game to lift the gloom away from Old Trafford and put themselves one step closer to qualifying for the knockout phase of the UEFA Europa League.
Complete wonderful all round performance

Manchester United started the night with Sergio Romero in goal, replacing the ever present David de Gea. Antonio Valencia started his second match since coming back from injury and Phil Jones and Daley Blind were in defence deputising for the injured Chris Smalling and Eric Bailly. Manchester United have failed to keep clean sheets before this match and so they needed their defence to be at its very best. Sergio Romero kept Manchester United alive in the game with a double save keeping the match at 0-0.
Wayne Rooney chip the goalkeeper real good

Wayne Rooney opened the scoring to become Manchester United's highest goal scorer in European competitions with 39 goals beating Ruud van Nistelrooy's previous record of 38. Manchester United took the lead after a superb work from Zlatan Ibrahimovic to set up Wayne Rooney who was narrowly onside and all Rooney had to do was chip the goalkeeper which he did with ease.
He got his chance and he put up a man of the match performance

Juan Mata got the second goal after superb work again from Manchester United in which Wayne Rooney found him with a wonderful pass and he slotted it in with ease keeping up with his impressive record of scoring for Manchester United in important matches. Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan were completely fantastic and Mkhitaryan had a shout for a penalty which was denied when he was brought down in the box after ghosting through four Feyenoord players.
Mata adds the second for Manchester United

Zlatan Ibrahimovic made sure it was 3-0 after he was assisted by Marcus Rashford who came on for Juan Mata. The Feyenoord goalkeeper Jones scored the goal and it was recorded as an own goal. Memphis Depay came in for Wayne Rooney late on along with Jesse Lingard who replaced Henrikh Mkhitaryan and grabbed the fourth goal late on capping off a wonderful performance making it the first time Manchester United have kept a clean sheet after leading 4-0. They couldn't do it against Leicester City which ended 4-1 and against Fernabahce which also ended 4-1. It may be because Sergio Romero was in goal who knows?
